Our mission is to serve and welcome every person affected by epilepsy, recognizing that epilepsy does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, faith, religion, or socioeconomic status.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Epilepsy Statistics:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Epilepsy affects 3.4 million people in the United States, with one in 26 individuals developing epilepsy at some point in their lives. People of all races and ethnicities can encounter a journey with epilepsy, at any time or age.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Our commitment:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> We welcome and serve every person affected by epilepsy, striving to eliminate barriers, create inclusion, and offer meaningful support to our communities.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Diversity: <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We acknowledge and value differences among individuals across multiple dimensions including, but not limited to race, national or ethnic origin, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical ability, faith or religion, and socioeconomic status.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Equity: <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We actively work to provide opportunity and access for all people, giving special attention to the needs of those facing significant barriers and health inequities.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Inclusion: <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We intentionally invite the contribution and participation of all groups and individuals, embracing differences and offering respect for all people.
